It's a loooooooong ways off, but Christineburd and I are booked for seven nights at Sunset at the Palms in Negril. We are going to ring in the new year (2008) in Jamaica!!! :D Our dates are 12/29/07-01/05/08. I think that by next December Mommy and Daddy will be ready for a little R&R! 8)

Yes! Tecknik's web site is one of the reasons we booked SATP. That, and it's been the top-rated hotel in Negril on TripAdvisor for some time now.

This ought to be a fun trip. Our second time to Negril, so there is at least a little bit of familiarity there. Last time was just a day trip, though, so we have a lot more time to get out and explore. Any necessary stops along the way from Montego Bay to Negril, Ohliz, and I'm all ears! :D

And I hear New Year's Eve is QUITE a party in Jamaica!

Along the way? We love to get box lunch right outside MoBay, chicken or fish or goat or pork with veg and rice for like $3US....red stripe of course but our driver brings that when he meets us....sometimes I have wanted to change into my swimsuit and jump into the water on the way but that was on the old road that went near the water.....

OK, OK, ...

Box lunch, red stripe, a jump in the water ...

That's enough! You're KILLING me!

Well, 11-plus months to go. I guess we have plenty of time to plan a tour with Sala and Sienna :D

And the winner is...

Quote:
Earning the highest accolades at the chamber's elaborate 24th anniversary dinner at the Negril Hills Golf Club was Swept Away Resorts, as recipient of the coveted Business of the Year Award.

"This business entity displays good corporate citizenship, shows commitment to the development of the Negril community and is sensitive to the sustainability, as it relates to the environment," director of the NCC, Junior Gordon, said in announcing the winner.
