Kevin, is that valid for returning guests of any Secrets resort?

We just got back from SC and considering going to SEPC next January.

Secrets Punta Cana will not be in the Secrets family next Jan.

Another person on Debbies travels to several AMResorts. He stated that yes the honor returning guests with upgrades just by giving them the dates that you stayed at their other resorts.

I thought Secrets Excellence Riveria Cancun was changing hands not Punta Cana???

Both are going back to the owners control.

I think it's important we try and be careful with the language we choose to describe the events at Secrets.

NONE of the secrets are changing 'hands' (which implies a sale).... the management company who had been hired to manage the properties is the change.

I'm trying to sort out the details with corporate headquarters........ right now, the information is just too vague to come to any conclusions about how this change is going to effect the properties (if at all).

Have heard from both the Management of SEPC, and AMResorts. Not sure if you think I would post bad info or not. On Trip Advisor I told a lady that posted something a few days ago to hold off until it could be verified.

No clue as to SERC. Never been there and have no plans to go there so I speak for SEPC only.

I'm not at all trying to say your information isn't accurate (I received a very similar letter). All I'm saying is that to me, the letter is very vague and could imply a multitude of scenarios.

I'm trying to get Secrets to pinpoint what is going to happen with their properties once AM pulls out. In other words, what changes can we; as consumers expect (still adults only, amenity changes, blah blah blah). Based on the generic responses (in other words, 'run with a similar philosophy') I'm coming to the conclusion that they might not know the exact ramifications just yet.

Remember when Secrets took over UltaVero Resort in PC and they no longer included snorkeling? That's the type of information I"m after right now

That could be a hard to get answer. At one time we had the email for the owner of the resort. 3 computers later we no longer have it.

AMResorts will not answer that type of question. The management staff I talked with at SEPC stated that they were ready to move on. They liked the place but being so far out it was hard on families.

In all fairness to the resorts, I just don't think they actually KNOW what the effects on the consumer will be just yet. Makes it kinda difficult for our new members to plan though.......

I'll post any and all information as I get it, but something tells me it may take a long time before we get concrete change information. I'm planning a meeting with the GM of Capri when I'm down next month though, maybe he'll know more? Time will tell I'm afraid.
