The photos you saw of the 'flooding' actually were a normal waterfall in the steak house.
This is the damage left by the terrible storm at the beginning of June.
This picture was taken from the end of the hallway of the south wing. It's the view you'd have if you were in a tropical suite 3rd floor, south wing.

This is the 'ocean view' from the south wing.
If you book an "ocean view" and not an "ocean front", your view of the ocean is obstructed by the pool. Not a bad obstruction !!
Notice the beach vendors bring their wares during the pool party and beach party.
